преди ден пристигна моя nokia n800. първите ми впечатления са отлични. повече, когато тръгне безжичният ми нет, надявам се през този уикенд.
в мобилният интернет европа изостава с 5 години след япония
убеден съм, че forester research са прави, когато твърдят че япония е с поне 5 години преди европа по отношение намобилните интернет услуги. и вероятно водят щатите с 10. тези дни като се поосвободя ще напиша и моето мнение защо това е така.
When it comes to mobile services, Japan is still ahead of Europe by a whopping five years, even though operators in both regions introduced mobile Internet services at roughly the same time in the late 1990s. So it’s no wonder that Europe’s mobile operators and content and media firms wanting to enter the mobile channel look at the Japanese market to try to predict the future success — or lack thereof — of new mobile Internet services. But different market dynamics mean that successes in Japan are poor predictors of success in Europe. European mobile operators should focus on the needs of mobile users on the go: their desire to communicate and access to timely and location-relevant content.

nokia отново дава пример за корпоративна култура. освен че има един куп публични и вътрешни блогове, компанията използва активно и wiki за да стимулира съвместната работа и креативността на служителите си и оптимизира каналите за комуникация между тях. чудно ми е след като блоговете едва сега достигнаха до българия, кога местните компании ще решат, че да си пуснат wiki е модерно. не че ще има за какво да го ползват, ама все пак…
In late 2004, when wikis were more buzz than proven tech tool, two small groups within Nokia’s Research Center in Helsinki created their own wikis—one to collaborate on solving specific product-design problems, the other to explore alternatives to e-mail and collaborative software. Today, Nokia estimates at least 20% of its 68,000 employees use wiki pages to update schedules and project status, trade ideas, edit files, and so on.
